Glamour With A Conscience
The Harti woman doesn't arrive quietly. She never has. She walks into a room, onto a beach, or down a runway with the confidence of someone who knows exactly who she is. Fearless, glamorous and unapologetically bold, she dresses not for approval but for expression. She doesn't wear HartiSWIM. She wears a point of view.
Born from the hand-painted artwork of artist Sascha "Harti" Hartmann and brought to life by founder and Creative Director Dr Tessa Hartmann CBE, HartiSWIM has evolved into something far greater than a fashion brand. It is a family-led creative collective where art, fashion, music and activism collide. Together with daughters Tallia and Valentina Hartmann, the family has built a universe that celebrates individuality, craftsmanship and conscious luxury. Every print begins as an original painting. Every collection tells a story. Every piece is designed to be treasured, not discarded.
Fresh from its headline Miami Swim Week presentation, Barbados After Dark, HartiSWIM continues to redefine what modern luxury looks like. Sustainable swimwear sits alongside elevated resort wear, bespoke Harti Atelier creations and, new for 2026, the finest Scottish cashmere wraps and scarves crafted in Scotland. From hand-painted pop art bikinis and statement kaftans to sequinned gowns lined in metres of ostrich feathers, this is a wardrobe for women who refuse to blend into the background.
Sustainability remains woven into every thread. Our swimwear is crafted using premium recycled fabrics made from post-consumer plastic bottles, transforming waste into wearable art. We reject the culture of fast fashion and overconsumption, choosing instead to create timeless pieces that are made to last, loved for years and passed on with pride.
But the Harti story doesn't stop at fashion. In 2026, the collective launched Free The Blue, an original EP written, produced and recorded entirely in-house. Created to raise awareness around ocean conservation, the music sits alongside our films, educational initiatives and creative projects, all designed to spark conversation about the future of our oceans. Because protecting the blue isn't a marketing campaign. It's a responsibility.
This is luxury with purpose. Art with impact. Fashion with a voice.
Welcome to the world of Harti.
Made by visionaries. Worn by sirens. Driven by change.
Harti - The Collection
Barbados After Dark is the latest chapter from HartiSWIM, the independent British luxury label founded by Dr Tessa Hartmann CBE. Inspired by the electric energy, colour and spirit of Barbados, the collection is a celebration of wearable art, effortless glamour and conscious design. Every print begins life as an original hand-painted artwork by artist Sascha "Harti" Hartmann before being transformed into bold, sustainable pieces designed for modern sirens who dress with purpose as well as style.
At the heart of the brand is a family collective. Alongside Tessa, daughters Tallia and Valentina Hartmann bring their own creative and entrepreneurial vision to the business, helping shape a house that moves seamlessly between swimwear, resortwear and the theatrical world of Harti Atelier. For 2026, the universe expands once again with the introduction of exquisite Scottish cashmere wraps and scarves, crafted in Scotland and designed to accompany the collection's signature blend of luxury and individuality.
More than a fashion label, HartiSWIM is a creative movement. This season saw the launch of Free The Blue, an original EP written, produced and recorded in-house to amplify the brand's commitment to ocean conservation and awareness. Fusing fashion, art, music and activism, Barbados After Dark is a reflection of a family of visionaries who believe creativity should not only inspire, but spark conversation, challenge convention and help protect the blue heart of our planet.
WHO IS HARTI?
But who is Harti? Harti is one of those rare creatures who, at once, is both a painter and a provocateur, a shrink and a seer. He’s a contemporary political artist, but let’s not get bogged down with labels - he’s more a cultural surgeon, wielding a brush like a scalpel. His acrylics on canvas are visceral, raw splashes of colour, each one more a cry for attention than a stroke of beauty. They’re not the kind of paintings that beg for a comfortable spot over your sofa; they demand to be noticed, questioned, dissected.
But Harti’s paintings are only half of it. The other half is the commentary - his sharp, no-holds-barred analyses of the world we’re all muddling through. His words drip with the same electric charge as his canvases.
He doesn’t just observe the world; he operates on it. He’s a kind of cultural shrink, diagnosing the ills of modern society with the precision of someone who has no patience for platitudes or weak thinking. It’s art, yes - but it’s also a blunt force therapy session for anyone brave enough to engage with it.

Awards Season, Darling (Even Without the Trophy)
Did we take home a gong in 2025? No.
Did we take home momentum, validation, and a glittering reminder that we’re exactly where we’re meant to be? Absolutely.
For a boujie wee brand that barely stops for air, being nominated twice in 2025 lit a serious fire in our tummies. Enter HartiSWIM - grafters to the core, powered by studio chaos, ocean conservation, relentless design energy and very loud music.
Art, Ethical Coffee, and Environmental Action Unite in Disruptive New Eco Campaign: #SipSeaChange Launches in the British Isles
This summer, art, ethical coffee, and environmental action are coming together in a powerful new collaboration between iconic Jersey café Cooper & Co. and bold, contemporary art-meets-fashion sustainable brand HartiSWIM. Launching this July across the Channel Islands, #SipSeaChange is more than a campaign - it’s a creative call to arms, using the very medium that’s part of the problem to inspire the solution.
What the Press Say
Join the HartiSWIM Movement
Harti Swim has arrived, not with a whisper, but with a salt-kissed statement. A debut steeped in ethics, stitched with intent, and wrapped in the breezy confidence of something genuinely new. Sustainable luxury, not as apology, but as aspiration.
The response? Graciously overwhelming. Editors, stylists, and fashion’s sharper minds have taken note - and for that, we’re deeply grateful.
If you're a journalist, stylist, or creative with a flair for the future, we’d love to connect. For press or collaborations, reach us at showroom@hartiswim.com
Let’s not follow the wave - let’s shape it.
DRAPERS CONSCIOUS FASHION AWARDS 2025
Think of it as the fashion world’s version of Eurovision - minus the glitter cannons. HartiSWIM, our baby brand still in its toddler years, somehow found itself rubbing shoulders with the industry big shots in London as a finalist for Best Consumer Engagement Campaign at the 2025 Drapers Conscious Fashion Awards in London. Did we win? Nope. Did we strut out of there feeling like the Beyoncé of sustainable swimwear? Absolutely. Being in that room lit an even bigger fire under us - and trust us, this is just the warm-up. HartiSWIM isn’t going anywhere.
